About Loveg

Loveg is a dating service for vegetarian and vegan people, available at loveg.me and as a mobile app. It is operated by Rodrigo Albornoz Figueiredo ("Loveg" or "we"). By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, do not create an account.

Who can use Loveg

To use Loveg, you confirm that you:

  • Are 18 years of age or older;
  • Have a single, personal account with truthful information about yourself;
  • Are not creating a fake profile, or a profile for a company, brand or group;
  • Have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.

Your account and access

Loveg has no passwords: you sign in with a link sent to your email or with your Google account. Keep your email secure and do not forward the sign-in links you receive. You are responsible for activity on your account. If you suspect someone else has accessed it, let us know through the contact page.

Your content

You are responsible for everything you post, such as photos, your bio and messages, and you keep ownership of it. By posting it, you grant Loveg a free, non-exclusive permission to store it, adapt it (for example, resize photos) and show it to other users, only to operate the service and for as long as it stays on your account. Photos go through automated review and may stay hidden until our team checks them, or be rejected if they break these Terms. We may remove content that breaks these Terms or receives well-founded reports.

Community rules

We expect respect in every interaction. Among other things, you may not:

  • Post content involving the sexual exploitation of children or adolescents;
  • Post hate speech, racism, LGBTphobia, sexism, speciesism, violence or any form of discrimination;
  • Harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate other people;
  • Post nudity, sexually explicit content or content promoting illegal drug use;
  • Use photos in which you cannot be clearly identified (for example, only landscapes, objects or animals) or photos of someone else;
  • Provide false information or impersonate another person;
  • Ask other people for money, goods or bank details;
  • Use Loveg to sell products or services or to promote outside groups;
  • Collect or pass on other users' data without permission, including through bots or scripts;
  • Try to damage, break into or disrupt the service;
  • Help anyone break any of these rules.

Safety and reports

Loveg does not run background checks or confirm the identity of every user. Be careful when sharing personal information and arranging to meet:

  • Meet in public places for the first dates and tell someone you trust;
  • Never send money or share bank details with someone you met on the app;
  • Use the block and report options whenever something feels wrong. Our team reviews every report;
  • In case of a crime or immediate danger, contact the police.

Premium subscription

Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks extra features. When you subscribe, these conditions apply:

  • The price and benefits are the ones shown on screen before you subscribe;
  • Payment is processed by Stripe, and the subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel;
  • You can cancel at any time in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and you keep the benefits until then;
  • Right of withdrawal: within 7 days of subscribing, you can change your mind and get a full refund by asking through the contact page (article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code);
  • After that period, periods already paid are not refunded, unless the service failed or the law requires it;
  • If the price changes, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance. The new price only applies from the following renewal, and you can cancel before it;
  • Deleting your account cancels the subscription automatically.

Ads

On the free plan, Loveg shows ads from partner brands, always marked “Sponsored”; a Premium subscription removes all of them. How ads are chosen and what data they use is explained in the Privacy Policy. Ads that rely on third-party cookies will only be shown after we update these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and with your consent.

Communications

We send emails the service needs, such as sign-in links, account notices and subscription billing. News and activity emails are optional: you can turn them off in your account settings or through the unsubscribe link in every email.

How the service runs

We work to keep Loveg available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or technical failures. We may change, add or remove features. Changes that reduce Premium benefits will be announced in advance.

Suspension and removal of accounts

If you break these Terms, we may remove content or suspend or close your account. In serious cases, such as a risk to other people's safety, this may happen immediately and without notice. If you believe the decision was a mistake, you can dispute it through the contact page.

Deactivating or deleting your account

You can stop using Loveg at any time from your account settings, in two ways:

  • Deactivate: your profile is no longer shown to other people, but your data is kept. The account becomes active again when you sign in;
  • Delete: permanently erases your profile, photos, matches and the conversations you took part in, including for the other person. This cannot be undone and cancels your Premium subscription.

Some records may be kept for as long as the law requires, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Responsibilities

Loveg brings people together, but it is not part of the relationships that start here. We do not guarantee matches, replies or outcomes, and we are not responsible for how users behave outside the platform, except where the law says otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 15 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the new version takes effect. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this page.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, including the Consumer Protection Code and the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Any dispute may be brought before the courts of the city where you live.
